A bunch of parts and a lot of dreams...

The body sat at my friend Cliff’s house in Lodi for two years. Cliff added an old ’40 Ford dash, several after market replacement panels, chopped and tilted the windshield, etc. He worked on it as he could yet during that time Cliff started a business and moved twice; and he has a family. It was too much to ask my friend Cliff to continue. I loaded up all the body parts and took them back to my shop.

The motor and frame were also not together at that time. A bunch of parts were just sitting there; waiting. There was so much work left to do that I was excited but overwhelmed and frustrated.

The Vision...

[Click Me]

My vision was to use the image of the 1960 Monogram 1/24th scale model car kit as the basis for this 1928 Ford roadster pickup. The ultimate vision was to display both the show car and the model car together; to relate the design elements. But there was more to my vision. I wanted some custom features that only a metal artisan could accomplish. But beyond that, the reality was that I was not skilled enough, nor did I have the tools to realize my dream. But then again, I have an MBA ... my tools are organizational, and I can motivate. Yeah ... I can do this!
