Hell...

You are looking at mid to late November. All prep and paint was "agreed" to be done and delivered by the end of October ... not November and especially not at the end of November. That was not our agreement. So what happened?

Georgi didn't take this project seriously. He didn't get cooking until almost the end of October. Word has it that he did other jobs when he was contracted to do mine. Georgi new the deal and I kept reminding him of our agreement, but I saw it starting to fall behind by mid-October. I'd show up or call and all I heard were excuses ... this happened and that happened, etc. The paint didn't set up, was one of the excuses. Fact is, Georgi is not organized and is a lousy painter. His prep is fair ... and he has been paid for that, but not for paint.

The last straw was his yet, another promise that parts would be ready on a specific date and they were not. In fact, the remaining parts, the tailgate and the valence, were over painted, bubbling, missing paint in areas and filled with dust and dirt. He was not there when we agreed I'd pick them up so I took the still wet parts and left ... for good.

Georgi ... you're fired!

After having the tailgate and valence sand blasted, I decided that the tailgate was just too much work to make good in the short remaining time so I bought a new tailgate, preped it and took both items to my friend Gary Hernandez, the owner of Martinez Auto Body, where he will prep and paint them quickly.
