Andy's Picnic 40th Reunion ... Aug 20/06

It's been a long time since Andy -- of the Instant T fame -- threw one of his famous picnics. I used to attend each year when I had TOON T. They were always fun, and this year brought back good memories of those fun times.

I was pre-registered and the gates opened at 8am, and I live only about 20 minutes away, so sleeping in was a good idea. I left my pleasant hill and hit the freeway to Vallejo. As I pulled into the fairgrounds, memories flooded back, and so did the cars ... cars you'll not see at any Goodguys shows. Wow, what a collection of cars.

I walked around with friends, and with my brother, Sonny, and met new friends, friends who knew me but I had no clue who they were, and generally had a good time. And, of course, people gathered around Black Widow 2 with ... "Hey, I built that kit when I was a kid." comments. That's cool.
