After the build in 2005, I showed Black Widow 2 at the four in-door West Coast shows Jan - Mar 2006. Black Widow 2 took a Class Award at Pomona, a 1st Place Trophy at Sacramento, a 1st Place Trophy at Portland, and a 1st Place Trophy at Seattle. This photo was taken at the Quest in Seattle, WA.
And then there's the magazine coverage. WOW ... from the Pomona show I was one of the photos in both Street Rodder and ROD & Custom magazines, and became the sketch pad article in Scale Auto magazine with thanks to Brad Leisure (www.sierratel.com/bleisure).
The best magazine coverage finally came in the May 2007 edition of Street Rodder. Dale Moreau sold the photo shoot to Brian at SR and there it was for all to see. I got a lot of kudos for that one. You know, so many guys dream of being in SR and only a few get the honor. WOW...!
MORE AWARDS... The Widow tends to win something everytime it shows. For instance, on the 400 mile weekend Black Widow 2 won a Best of Show in Gult and a 1st Place in Woodland. That was well worth the trip.
But the best was yet to come. At the Goodguys 20th West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton I was surprised with two awards, Rodders Rep Pick and the ROD & Custom Top Ten awards. Shortly there after I received a nifty jacket from the folks at ROD & Custom magazine.
