Sacramento Autorama ... Feb 08-10/08

Three years earlier Black Widow 2 as entered in the main show, the Autorama, where it won one of its many 1st place trophies. But today, we participated in a new, one day drive-in show sponsored by John Buck Enterprises. We parked and started walking around.

The Sacramento Autorama is mainly a Custom Car show, where Customs are king and hot rods take a back seat. Well, unless you know this, you'd never know it. There were plenty of both to enjoy. As we strolled around we met up with Ron, Sonny's best buddy from high school. The meeting is pre-planned each year. We all had a great time.

Upon returning to Black Widow 2, feet tired yet happy, I was told to "stick around!" The outside show held its own awards ceremony where in Black Widow 2 won a special award ... the ROD & Custom Magazine, Editors' Choice Award. WOW! That's so cool.

We came, we enjoyed, we won something, so now we go. We drove back to American Canyon to let Sonny off, and then Black Widow 2 and I drive home. This was an excellent day.
