Goodguys 20th West Coast Nationals ... Aug 25/06

It's Friday, the first day of the three-day Goodguys 20th West Coast Nationals ... party! The show opens at 8am but I tend to arrive socially late; around 11ish. It's the nationals and as such it is wall to wall rods and customs. Yeah ... this will be a nice day.

The first order of the day is to unload and enter a box load of my models at the model car display / contest. I do that and talk with my modeling pals a bit then take off. I decide to take my time before settling into a parking spot. I putt around at idle taking photos from within my little truck. Look closely at the photos and you'll see faces looking and smiling and if you look in the mirror you see interesting views.

Okay ... time to pick a spot ... but where to power park? All the good places are taken. Oh yeah ... I'm driving a full scale model car ... so why not park Black Widow 2 at the model car contest! I drive back over to the contest building, drive in and park it ... with the full encouragement of all the model car guys. Okay ... now that's the ultimate in power parking.
